The Space Museum & Grissom Center could be a warm welcome to YOUR town!
Humans accomplished something incredible in the decade of the 1960’s. We landed men on the Moon and returned them safely to the Earth! So remarkable was that accomplishment that it seemed almost magical! But in the words of astronaut Jim Lovell, “It was not magic that took us to the Moon, we just decided to go!” Those men and women that took us there were not “superhuman, or magic.” They were ordinary people recruited from our farms, machine shops, garages, and schools. What made them extraordinary was dedication to a goal that could only be met through hard work, ingenuity, and team work. They committed themselves to do what was necessary and they chose not to fail!
It is this human potential that The Space Museum & Grissom Center celebrates. The museum showcases the technology and hardware developed by these determined individuals in a fun and entertaining way that inspires this generation and more importantly the next. Our motto says it best, “Dream big, overcome obstacles, and do great things.”
The museum dream began in 2003 with no funding, no home, and no reputation but through the devotion of some very dedicated visionaries that has changed! The museum’s comprehensive multimillion-dollar collection is perhaps the largest in the Heartland and includes one of only two Moon rocks in Missouri. Our credibility is widespread and we have strong relationships with many astronauts, industry professionals and well-established museums. In 2024 the museum was rated in the top ten science museums in Missouri by Trip Advisor and it also maintains a 4.9 Google rating.
Our success, however, IS A PROBLEM! We are growing so fast in substance and popularity that we are bursting at the seams! We may soon be required to turn away amazing artifacts because we have no room and it is becoming difficult to provide our growing audience with new and innovative content they deserve. Schools love us but the larger groups tax our ability to serve them. The solution is a new home that is adequate for this growth.
We therefore need visionaries like those that took us to the Moon to invest in their community and support the museum project by providing it an adequate home. Not only would the museum be a bastion of education and inspiration, it would also be a financial boon and a point of pride for any city that might be wise enough to host it. The facility would quickly become self-supporting and the benefit to local businesses is incalculable. Tourists that visit the museum also shop local stores and services. This is a winning combination.
The groundwork has already been laid. The Space Museum is a solid organization with great expertise, experience and associations. If community leaders are shrewd enough to see the potential, they will be creative enough to secure the reality. The Space Museum & Grissom Center provides limitless opportunities for exploitation.
It costs nothing to learn more but we do recommend that contact be made soon before this opportunity is lost to others. There are many examples of great successes through similar partnerships. Are you curious to know the details? We can provide them obligation free.
